a 10 font should be standard, and no less that 8. i design sites and have never used a font smaller than 8. younger people i find often ask me to put smaller font on thier site. i remind them that not everyone has great eyesight or know how to change the font size in the browser or otherwise.

well if you have problem with reading small text on firefox mouse try ctrl+mouse scrolling that allows you to change font size in smaller and larger
